"Miracle" singer, Kees Dieffenthaller made a special guest appearance at Massy Trinidad All Stars pan yard recently, as this year's second placed Panorama semi finalists hosted their annual "Kaiso Fuh So" concert event.

Calypso, Soca and steelpan came together on this night to assist a stalwart member of the film industry, Danielle Deiffenthaller, who received part proceeds from ticket sales of this Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestra (TASSO) event in aid of her medical expenses. Dieffenthaller was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure last year and continues to raise funds for a necessary kidney transplant.

Backed by Oral Rodriguez and the Razor Sharp Band, several veteran Calypsonians graced the stage, including: Kaiso Web with "Trinbago Gunman", Kerine "Tiny" Williams-Figaro who sang "To You With Love" and "Through These Eyes" before making way for the 2011 Calypso Monarch, Karene Asche and her two contributions, the now classic, "Every Knee Shall Bow" and "No Excuse". Natasha Nurse aka "Sexy Suzie" is always an entertaining treat to experience and she did not disappoint with the provocative combination of her songs, "D Cat" and "Dr. Cure".

Warming up for his Ready Freddy (transport service) shuttle down to 519 Restaurant in C3 Centre, San Fernando immediately after, Kees came out in support of his sister and spread his calm, loving energy throughout the All Stars yard. Abandoning the stage in favor of getting closer to the mostly seated audience, Kees blessed the space with a select few of his current and classic hit songs, including "Tack Back", Savannah Grass" and his latest release, "Miracle". Paying tribute to his mother and sister in the audience, the IzWe Festival headliner thanked TASSO for their love and support as extended family:

I want to say thank you to the All Stars for supporting culture and supporting this cause and for having us here in this historical space we call the yard," he said. "I really believe that pan is king and pan is what started Carnival on the road. So, you must always remember that and represent it right. I hope you're having a great time and I want to say a special good night to my mother on the inside - Love you! And also, especially to Danielle Dieffenthaller - we are here for you! While we're here let me represent right and do one for my father..."

Having already raised the temperature in the yard several degrees, Kees' departure preceeded the intermission period, but also signaled the start of the next wave of live action with Michael "Sugar Aloes" Osuna and Timothy "The Baron" Watkins Jr taking the stage and the trio of Winston "Gypsy" Peters, Devon Seale and Ainsley King completing the Calypso component before the legendary Austin "Superblue" Lyons came to deliver his powered Soca, Jab Molassie, Road March hits, much to the delight of the audience, which included of note: Gregory Aboud, Anthony Chow Lin On, Ms World 1986,Giselle La Ronde-West and comedian, Tommy Joseph, among others. A fabulous time was had by all in attendance and TASSO is well on their way to celebrating a fantastic 2024.
