Miami Carnival celebrates 30 years

Now celebrating its thirtieth (30th) anniversary, ‘Miami Carnival’ is set to inject a healthy dose of Caribbean culture into South Florida next weekend. The official “Miami Broward One Carnival” has relocated to a new venue at 10901 Coral Way and come next Sunday, October 12, the annual parade of the bands is scheduled to splash the splendor of mas all over the Miami-Dade County Fair Expo Center from 10 am.

COTT Distributes Over $5Million In Royalties

Friday 3rd October, 2014 – The Copyright Music Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago (COTT) has administered and distributed $5.3 million in royalties to songwriters and international affiliates in its second quarterly distribution. The revenue came from collections for the year 2013 from income streams such as broadcasting, usage of music at business places and at events, as well as music used during the Carnival 2014 season.

US Actor makes whirl-wind stop in Trinidad

US-based, British actor, Eamonn Walker (Oz, Chicago Fire, Othello, Tears of the Sun) made a whirl-wind visit to Trinidad and Tobago to join the cast and crew of the film Dubois (2014), when it premiered at the trinidad+tobago film festival, on Saturday (20 September), at MovieTowne, in Port of Spain.
